Claire has more than 15 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry spanning the large multi-nationals GlaxoSmithKline and Pfizer, virtual and Contract Research Organisations. Having taken a range of therapeutic products through clinical Phases 1 to 3, she thrives on translating innovative technologies into healthcare products and shaping technical and organisational strategies. She was honoured with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s Pharmaceutical Science Award in 2015.

Before founding Agility Health Tech, she was Head of Research and Development with Oxford PharmaScience, an AIM-listed virtual Pharmaceutical company identified as one of the "Top 10 Emerging Technology Companies 2012". Here she evaluated and identified new technologies for in-licensing, transferring them from universities/companies and directed the scale-up through CROs/CMOs in adherence to EU and FDA cGMP requirements. She also engaged with investors, manufacturing and licensing partners to build capital, product supply and revenue respectively.

Prior to this, Claire was Associate Director at Molecular Profiles (now Juniper Pharmaceuticals) where her role was split between managing a Technical Division and developing and marketing new services to small, medium and large Pharmaceutical Clients. Claire spent 7½ years at GlaxoSmithKline and Pfizer developing novel molecules and formulations for therapeutic areas such as asthma, cancer, HIV, insomnia, malaria and pain.

Claire is Chief Scientist of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She holds Honorary Senior Lectureships in the College of Medical & Dental Sciences at the University of Birmingham and the School of Pharmacy at University College London. She holds a PhD from School of Pharmacy, University of Nottingham, and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of St. Andrews.

Steve Jolley, CEO of SJ Pharma, has more than two decades of experience in drug safety and pharmacovigilance. Throughout his years in the industry, he has worked with over 100 clients in the US, Europe, Japan, India and China. Steve is an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University and teaches part of their Master's degree in Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance. Steve is also a member of the Drug Information Association’s training faculty and an instructor for the DIA’s Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance Certificate Program. In 2010, Steve was elected as chairman of the DIA’s Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance steering committee for North America.

SJ Pharma offers a variety of drug safety and pharmacovigilance online training courses. Each module is fully interactive, and will take you 3 to 4 hours to complete. At the end of each module is an exam which you can retake if needed. Once you achieve a passing grade you will receive a certificate for that module.

Steve is Adjunct Professor, Rutgers University , has over 28 years' experience in drug safety & pharmacovigilance and is a Specialist in global safety compliance, business process improvement and signal detection having Worked with over 100 clients in the US, Europe, Japan, India, and China.

He is an International speaker on drug safety compliance and signal detection; invited to participate at events in North America, Europe, Japan, China, India by FDA, EMA, MHRA, Chinese SFDA, Health Canada, DIA where he is Chairperson of the DIA Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance steering committee for North America.

Steve has Degrees in mathematics and computer science from Cambridge University, England.
